This Friday the entire 8-Bit Crew will be heading to Pax East 2011, and I could not be any more excited. I'm not sure about the others but I haven't created a game plan of exactly what I'm going to do yet. I was planning on winging it but I have feeling it's probably best to check out the official Pax East site to see what's going on at least! But one thing I do plan on doing is trying to meet all my inspirational figures in the gaming journalism industry. First and foremost, I would love to meet Jeff Gerstmann of Giant Bomb. Since 11 years of age, I've read his reviews and found his writing to be informative and entertaining. He's pretty much the first game journalist I looked up to. And I can't forget about the entire Bombcast gang such as Ryan Davis, Brad Shoemaker and Vinny Caravella-these guys are awesome. I'm always engrossed in their antics and I love their style of video game coverage. Others I'd like to meet (assuming they'll be appearing) Adam Sessler, Geoff Keighley, John Davison, Garnett Lee and others editors from Game Informer, IGN, Kotaku and more. Actually I'm going to the Pax Site so I make a small little schedule for myself right after this post.
And don't worry, just because we'll be away doesn't mean we won't be updating The 8-Bit Blog, on the contrary, we're going to be posting our impressions of games we've played on the floor. Since I'm not sure how much time we're going to have playing, I'm sure they're going to be short and sweet. I'm also going to take as many pictures and videos I can for the event, and finally put our Youtube Account to good use!
