The Nintendo Switch is set to launch on March 3rd 2017 and since its announcement some talented folks on the web took it to themselves to create these lovely mockups. Historically Nintendo has released special edition designs and colors for various consoles over two decades, maybe they could find some inspiration in one or two of these concepts. Here are some of my favorite fanmade mockups of the Nintendo Switch!
1. NES Edition

Just call me biased.
Is it the wistfulness of the good ol' days or just a genius design? I'm going for the latter! This fetching color combination plays on the nostalgia of your childhood system yet maintaining a sleek design. The light gray keeps it cool and the red buttons make it pop ever slightly. If Nintendo were taking fan suggestions, I wouldn't be surprised if this topped the list.
2. Metallic Red

| It's red? Take my money!
One of the things you'll quickly learn about me is my love for the color red. It is such a dominant color and this mockup express that. The silver joycon grip adds to metallic red providing this combo a very regal look.
3. Electric Blue 
Unofficial dubbed the Cool Ranch Edition
Right up there with the NES Edition, this mockup has the highest chance of being a reality. Seeing how they already have joycons with the shade of blue, it would nice if Nintendo extended the colors to the base and dock as well.
4. Arctic White
All white everything (well mostly)
There seems to be an unwritten rule in tech hardware: if you initially release a product in black then later provide a white version, the white will become the 'cool' color. It's goes vice versa as well. Don't ask me why, that's just the rules.
5. Legend of Zelda Edition
Switch the Hero of (past)time
What better way to pay tribute to one of Nintendo's most revered franchise The Legend of Zelda. Obviously inspired by our protagonist hero Link. Decked in a hunter green color scheme with appropriate decals, this would be an awesome collector's edition if Nintendo would be so kind.
